Vacation Storage

While Oxford do accommodate you in your first year, that's only during term time. The colleges use student rooms over the vacations (Oxford jargon for the time between terms). This makes them money (and keeps your rent down) and also lets them accommodate interview candidates in December. So if you live in college accommodation, you normally have to move out three times a year. It's not always easy to get your stuff back home, so most colleges provide some sort of storage rooms.

Christ Church	All students are permitted to retain use of one lockable cupboard in their room for storage purposes during the vacation. However, if you live off-site in 2nd year, you can leave much more of your stuff in the room (as long as it's neat and tidy). There are also storage rooms: international students get priority over non-international students.

Exeter	Storage is only available for international students (who get four boxes), but usually appliances like a mini-fridge, toaster or kettle can be left in the room over the holidays.

Merton	There is a storage room for internationals. You can leave stuff in your room as long as its neat: e.g. packed under the bed, or in a trunk in the corner, but this is at your own risk.

Queen's	Everyone can store 2 boxes in their room over Christmas but nothing over Easter. You can leave stuff on your pin board all year round though. Space in the storage room is very limited and usually only for students from outside England and Wales.
Regent's Park	Central storage space is available, subject to there being enough room available. International students are prioritised in the provision of storage space.
Somerville	International students can have four boxes (provided by college) and non-international students get three. However, there's a limited supply and it's first come first served. Since they give international students a week to sign up before home students are allowed to, most of them end up going to overseas students. The boxes are quite small, which can be tricky.

St Hilda's	Only for international students.
St Hugh's	International students can store five items over the vacations, for everyone else it is two items. 'Items' can be anything from a box  full of stuff, to a suitcase, to a solitary lamp (if you are so inclined).

Teddy Hall	Only for international students. It should be enough space for you to store your stuff.
Trinity	Lockable storage for almost all students and a large loft for international students.

Wadham	Every student can keep one large box over the vacation. It's large enough to fit your bedding, or all your cooking equipment, etc in. International students (including students from Ireland) get up to six boxes.
